I paint myself sometimes...

This is probably the first actual self portrait I painted. Oil 18 x 24

This painting was fun. It started out as a normal oil painting, but at some point I decided to deconstructed. It was interesting how I started seeing things a bit differently, at first I started hacking away in frustration, but then something clicked and I started making my marks a bit more decisive. Might experiment more with this.

Here is the original. My copy seems to be dulled down a bit, and a few drawing issues. Learned a lot about painting and creating fluidity in a piece. Had a great time working on this overall.
