This is what my head feels like right now. Just a bunch of shapes and things just spewing out of my head. Could be worse, could be goo or something gross haha.

Started this the other day. Not quite sure where I was headed with it. I like the idea, but still not sure, feels incomplete. Might come back to it later or rework it.

Something a little different

Went to the beach picked out a few shells. Took a drill, drilled a hole small enough in all 6 shells to get the hemp through. The center piece is a South American Nut Bead. Might make more depending on whether or not I get more supplies.

School

So for the first time in a really long time I am actually happy being in school. I have heard so many positive things from all my teachers. It is making me feel that being here is worth it more and more. So many things have kept me from continueing my education, and honestly I think it was all worth it to finally end up at the Art Institute. The classes are fun, people are friendly, and the teachers are awesome. Even my Algebra teacher is awesome. I have found something that will keep me busy, and make it worth it. Thank you to all the teachers that have given me so many ideas, and so much constructive critique. Everything has been falling in to place as to where I want to be with my art. This summer will be a challenge to continue to advance myself by attempting to try some clay figures. It will be a work in progress.

Flash

A quick flash animation made for my computer concepts class. I have never really worked in flash before. So it was pretty cool experimenting with it.

my brain hurts

So maybe I'm just lost in my own thoughts, but is it awkward how we just loose our sense of humanity? We enter a world where we have cows connected to machinery and expect them to allow us to just take the source of nutrient from their child. I understand that the calf's are still aloud around the mother, but why take them away like that at all? We are even doing it to our children. We have machinery now that allows the woman to detach herself from the nurturing of her child, hooked up like part of the cattle. No emotion, forget your child, go to work, nothing else matters. Then we wonder why there are so many problems in today's society. Then we get into the Nurture vs Nature situation. I do agree that our surroundings have a lot to do with who we are, but from birth we get an understanding on how things work where we are on how we are raised or treated as a child. I still think that if you are going to put the time and effort into having a child, then take the time and effort on spending time with the child.
