Some charcoal drawings I've done in the past week or so.

here are a few figure paintings in oil. With these I have been experimenting with working with a palette knife and braking the figure into the colors that I see more so than trying to blend them into on another.

4 page comic for George Pratt Illustration class

This was an interesting project. We had to create a 4 page comic using only old black and white photographs. We couldn't draw it out in pencil or any media that was erasable/correctable. We are supposed to go straight into ink or any medium that was permanent. I used India Ink and Prismacolor Grayscale markers.

I paint myself sometimes...

This is probably the first actual self portrait I painted. Oil 18 x 24

This painting was fun. It started out as a normal oil painting, but at some point I decided to deconstructed. It was interesting how I started seeing things a bit differently, at first I started hacking away in frustration, but then something clicked and I started making my marks a bit more decisive. Might experiment more with this.

Here is the original. My copy seems to be dulled down a bit, and a few drawing issues. Learned a lot about painting and creating fluidity in a piece. Had a great time working on this overall.
